The President of India is the ceremonial head of state of India and the Commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces. The post was created on 26th January 1950 when India became a republic.

He was the only president to be elected as an independent candidate. Also given Bharat Ratan in 1975.

He was also an Indian lawyer and politician who served as the fifth President of India from 1974 to 1977. Second President of India to die in office.

He has a political career with the Indian National Congress Party in the independence movement. he was also the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, two-time Speaker of the Lok Sabha and a Union Minister.

He was an Indian aerospace scientist and politician , born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering. He also works in DRDO and ISRO. He also called as "People's President". Awarded Bharat Ratna also.

She was the first woman to have been elected to this august office, also served as as the Governor of Rajasthan from 2004 to 2007.
